The Studio: Patch Theatre
Patch Theatre has been expanding the minds of South Australia’s children for nearly half a century. They’ve travelled the globe, but there’s one frontier they’ve never explored: the Art Gallery of South Australia.
With the support of the James and Diana Ramsay Foundation, Patch will commandeer The Studio at AGSA for the first time.
Drawing inspiration from a work by Czech-Australian Surrealist Dušan Marek, a painting concurrently on display in AGSA’s major exhibition Surrealists at Sea, Patch will create a glowing interactive sea floor.
Art lovers of all ages are invited to immerse themselves in this Surrealist experience, and ‘draw in light.’
Officially launched on 30 January 2013, The Studio is a dedicated learning activity space for children, families and art lovers of all ages thanks to the generous support of the James and Diana Ramsay Foundation.
The Studio will be open on weekends, and daily during the school holidays. The installation is FREE entry.
