Universal Kingdom: Ice Age arrives at Adelaide Zoo, as part of Illuminate Adelaide 2026.
This after-dark adventure transforms the zoo into a glowing prehistoric world, combining magical light installations, spectacular puppetry, soundscapes, and interactive elements designed to captivate kids and adults alike.
Wander through glowing glacial landscapes and discover majestic Woolly Mammoths, ground-trembling Dinosaurs, stealthy Sabre-Toothed Tigers and soaring Thunderbirds, while unearthing ancient secrets in an interactive kids zone.
Tips for visiting Universal Kingdom: Ice Age with Kids
- Dress warmly – Adelaide winter nights can get cold
- Book ahead – popular Illuminate Adelaide events can sell out
- Go earlier in the evening if you have younger children
- Allow plenty of time to explore without rushing
- Take a pram if needed – the trail is designed to be accessible
