Urrbrae Wetland Open Days
The Friends of the Urrbrae Wetland host 2 open days each year open to the general public. Visitors can take this opportunity to join The Friends of the Urrbrae Wetland to see what the Urrbrae Wetland is all about and discover how the Adelaide Plains looked before European settlement.
This year the open days will coincide with the April and October school holidays.
Open day visits include:
- A brief presentation about the history of the wetlands
- A guided walk around the wetland by one of the volunteers

- 2.10pm
- 2.50pm
Walk Times:
- 2.00pm
- 2.30pm
- 3.10pm
Children’s Tour:
- 2.15pm
Entrance to the open day is $2 for adults and school-age children are free.
Car parking is available by entering Gate D (gate between the school oval and wetland) off Cross Road at Urrbrae. The wetland is found on the southern side of Cross Road about 500 metres east from Duthy Street and 500 metres west of Fullarton Road. Look for the gravel road access and large double gate entrance to the Urrbrae Wetlands.
