Permanent Exhibitions
Permanent galleries include the South Australian Biodiversity, Pacific Cultures, Megafauna, Opalised Fossils, Polar, Ediacaran, Minerals, and the Ancient Egyptian Room. Did we mention the 11m long model of a giant squid, displayed in an old lift shaft over four floors?
Discovery Centre
The ever-popular Discovery Centre on level one contains a wealth of information and many drawers to open and explore, including a much-loved working beehive. Itโs open from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends.
