Wilbur’s Wildlife Discovery Centre | Review
Wilbur’s Wildlife Discovery Centre offers a totally wild school holiday activity your children will love!
Review by Angelica-Hazel Toutounji
Wilbur’s Wildlife Discovery Centre is an interactive animal experience for children that helps to foster their love of animals, increase their understanding and provide a whole lot of fun in a safe, calm environment.

The experience starts with a wildlife show where a bunch of different animals are brought out to the group and attendees have the chance to learn, pat and even hold them. Without ruining the fun, you can expect to see a snake, a frog, a lizard and a possum.

Moving on from the animal show kids then have the whole area to explore and engage with. They can visit the glass enclosed animals, play palaeontologist in the makeshift sandpit, test their skills at mini golf or have fun playing vet.

The experience goes for an hour and there is more than enough to keep the children entertained during this time slot. Not only is the entire activity enjoyable from start to finish, the staff are friendly, fun and so knowledgeable their enthusiasm rubs off on you.

This activity is set inside the District Outlet Centre at Parafield, so you can do some shopping, pick up some bargains and even have a bite to eat before or after the show. All in all, this is one school holiday activity you don’t want to miss.

Things to consider
- Wilbur’s Wildlife discover session is set inside a shopping centre so there is easy parking and access to a parents room with a change table
- The talk goes for 30 minutes but is engaging for young and old so don’t be put off if your child has a short attention span
- Children have the option to hold and pat animals if they choose
