Formerly known as ‘Women on the Run’, the Zahra Foundation Celebrates 10 Years with a new look and event name, The Next Steps, reflecting the recovery journey of the women they support.
On Sunday 16 March 2025 you can walk, run, or stroll 4km from Grange Jetty to Henley Jetty and back, in solidarity with women recovering from domestic and financial abuse.
By participating in The Next Steps and fundraising for the Zahra Foundation, you’re directly helping women on their journey to recovery and economic empowerment. Recovery is at the heart of what the Zahra Foundation does, but the community’s support is needed to ensure this vital work continues and grows.
This day also honours the life and legacy of Zahra Abrahimzadeh, the foundation’s namesake who tragically lost her life to domestic violence in March 2010.
