HMAS Adelaide Open Day – Port Adelaide
The Canberra class amphibious assault ship, HMAS Adelaide (III), will be visiting her namesake city of Adelaide on Sunday 14 April 2019.

While in Adelaide the ship’s company will hold an Open Day on Sunday, 14 April 2019 with the public welcome to come aboard and tour one of the largest ships to serve in the Royal Australian Navy fleet.Β Registration is FREE however places are strictly limited.
Set Entry Times
The tickets will allow for entry over specified 30 minute entry blocks. The first tour will begin at 10:00am with last tour of the day happening at 3:30pm. This is for entry only, there is no specified exit time. However, visitors will be required to depart the venue by no later than 4:00pm.Β CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.
Tickets
All tickets must either be printed out or displayed as an e-ticket using the free Eventbrite iOS/Android App for mobile devices.
Mobility for Ship Access
Wheelchairs and strollers are not compatible with access to the ship and visitors must be able to walk up and down six (6) flights of stairs unassisted.Β (Wheelchair access is not available on the ship).
Prams and Children
It is recommended that children under the age of five not be brought aboard the ship as the tour includes ascending and descending stairs and ladder bays. Visitors are permitted to assist their children up ladder bays. Those who cannot climb up ladder bays will not be able to enter the ship.Β Β Prams are not permitted aboard the ship, however, space will be available for the parking of prams on the wharf.Β (Do not leave any valuable items with parked prams).
Transport and Parking
There will be extremely limited parking nearby so the use of public transport is strongly recommended. Outer Harbor Railway Station is only 100 metres from the entrance of the Passenger Terminal. Alternatively, take Bus 653 to Stop 66 Oliver Rogers Drive – South East side.
Footwear and Clothing
All visitors are required to wear enclosed shoes such as flat shoes or comfortable walking shoes. High heels are not permitted as there are trip hazards aboard the ship. The tour of HMAS Adelaide includes climbing and descending stairs and ladders and visitors should dress accordingly.
