Davoren Park Playground | Mandeville Reserve | Review

Davoren Park Playground | Mandeville Reserve | Review

By Claire Davill

Tucked away in a residential area is this cute little park with a cute little playground, mural fence and a few facilities.

Mandeville Road Playground has been recently upgraded as part of the City of Playford’s Four Parks Project. Some new play equipment, landscaping and a picnic shelter have been added. A fantastic little toddler-friendly piece of climbing equipment remains from the old playground.

The toddler-friendly climbing truck is a feature of the park, with a small slide, inclined climbing ramp, small climbing wall, balcony, and holes to climb through. It’s a wonderful, contained little piece of equipment designed to keep toddlers entertained for a long time.

For older kids, the new equipment includes an in-ground wheel-chair accessible merry-go-round, a spinning climbing frame, swing set and a springy seesaw with an octopus theme.

There is also a great little stepping stone/wooden plank feature, near the back fence of the park that features a delightful mural along the whole fence.

There is a picnic shelter, bin and drinking fountain here, but no toilets. There are no toilets nearby the park either, something to keep in mind.

At the opposite end of the park, across the open lawn area, is a basketball hoop and four square/handball court.

The park is not fenced, but it is in a very quiet area and the playground is well away from the roads. The playground has plenty of trees providing shade at different times of the day. This little park provides a lovely spot to stop off for a quick play and to stretch the legs, with equipment suitable for all ages.
