If you haven’t been up to Deviation Road Winery for one of their DR Sunday sessions you are missing out on a beautiful Adelaide Hills afternoon. Deviation Road enjoys a stunning setting with views over the vineyard, gorgeous gardens and is only five minutes from Stirling.
Every few weeks on a Sunday afternoon, the cellar doors hosts an afternoon of live music in the garden, with a marquee to shelter from inclement weather. They have a wood fire pizza oven burning and serve delicious pizzas. Coupled with a stunning glass of Deviation Road wine, it makes for a very relaxing and chilled afternoon.
DR Sundays aren’t necessarily aimed at families as there aren’t any specific children’s activities, but the gardens are beautiful, so if you have children who are happy to explore their surroundings and enjoy the music it’s definitely worth a visit. We have been a few times now and the children are always made very welcome.
This Sunday 30 August, the live music comes courtesy of local girl Belle who sings and plays the guitar. This talented 15 year old Adelaide Hills singer songwriter will take to the Deviation Road stage in what will be her second live performance. Belle will perform a selection of covers from Triple J’s top 100 as well as some of her own compositions.
