Krispy Kreme will be glazing the globe in chocolate to celebrate World Chocolate Day on Saturday 7 July 2018.
Their famous Original Glazed (OG) Doughnuts will be given a chocolate glaze in their stores all around the world!
The first chocolate glazed doughnuts came off the production line at the Port Road Croydon store tonight and as you can see from our pics, they look pretty delicious (and they taste as good as they look as well).
In a world first for Krispy Kreme, across six continents the famous classic Original Glazed Doughnuts will be smothered in rich chocolate glaze, giving doughnuts fans an awesome World Chocolate Day experience.
After New Zealand, Krispy Kreme Australia will be the second country to kick off the celebrations.
Free Doughnuts to first 200 people on World Chocolate Day
In South Australia the first 200 people from midnight at the Port Road, West Croydon store will receive a dozen limited edition Chocolate Glazed Doughnuts for free.
Krispy Kreme South Australia General Manager Mark Higginbottom said, “Creating a chocolate glaze experience that will bring chocolate and doughnut lovers across the world is very special for us, we can’t wait to give our fans an irresistible chocolate experience that tastes like pure joy for World Chocolate Day.”
The Chocolate Glazed doughnuts will be made and delivered fresh to Krispy Kreme stores across Adelaide on World Chocolate Day, Saturday 7 July 2018.
At the “Hot Light” factory stores in West Croydon and Port Wakefield Road (open 24/7) you will be able to see and smell for yourself the chocolate glaze waterfall as the doughnuts are prepared in the factory.
The Chocolate Glazed doughnuts are available at every Krispy Kreme store in Adelaide including:
• Gouger St – 76 Gouger Street, Adelaide
• James Place – 1/28 Grenfell Street, Adelaide
• Westfield Marion Shopping Centre
• Adelaide Airport, Ground Floor opposite the baggage collection area
