The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market will return with their popular Pop Up Market at Goodwood Primary School this September.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, 1, 8, and 15 September 2024, when Goodwood Primary School will once again transform into a bustling hub of fresh produce, artisanal delights, and family-friendly fun.
With over 50 stallholders, the Pop Up Market will showcase a wide array of South Australian produce, from juicy fruits and crisp vegetables to freshly baked bread, handcrafted cheeses, poultry, and more. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect directly with local growers and makers, all while enjoying a unique shopping experience.
In addition to the market’s fresh offerings, the Pop Up will also include a program of weekly family activities, including live music, a sausage sizzle, and selection of catering options to enjoy with a freshly brewed coffee and juice. The market has family activities on 1 and 8 September, while Goodwood Primary School will run special activities on the final Sunday, 15 September. Families can enjoy student-run stalls, kid-friendly fun, and creative activities for children.
FATHER’S DAY GIVEAWAY: WIN ADELAIDE ROYAL SHOW TICKETS
Join the fun on Sunday 1 September 2024 to celebrate Father’s Day and enter The Farmers’ Day Competition for a chance to win one of two Eskies filled with market goodies, including a double pass to the Royal Adelaide Show, each valued at approx. $250. One Esky is reserved exclusively for ASFM members, making it the perfect family treat.
There is also another 3 prizes to be won – double passes to the Royal Adelaide Show, valued at approx. $54 each. For every purchase you make at the market, you’ll receive an entry into the limited draw, with only a set number of tickets issued on the day.
The prizes, will be drawn on-site. Shop between 8:30am and 12noon for your chance to win. They’ve also planned some activities for the kids, including a face painter and live entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
GOODWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENT ACTIVITIES:
On Sunday 15 September, Goodwood Primary School students will deliver a variety of fun and handcrafted activities alongside the Pop Up Adelaide Farmers’ Market. Their activities will include everything from candles, dog bandanas, slime, and greeting cards to play dough, scrunchies, and pet rocks. There will also be sideshow alley-style games like Nerf gun target shooting, magnetic fishing, tin can throwing, and a ping pong cup throw. Shoppers can browse second-hand sports equipment, records, and books or try their luck with guessing jars, a raffle, and a lucky dip.
Relocating temporarily due to the Royal Adelaide Show, the Pop Up Market at Goodwood Road Primary School will be accessible to everyone, with free entry and various transportation options available. Walk, ride, share drive, or catch public transport. Limited free parking in surrounding streets. There will be a free shuttle bus service between Orphanage Park and the school all morning
The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market will return to its home site at the Adelaide Showground on Sunday 22 September 2024.
