Pick Your Own Flowers in the Adelaide Hills this October.
A morning or an evening spent at Charleston Farm is such a beautiful way to start the day! It’s a really lovely experience if you love flowers, and especially if you’re like me and can’t keep anything alive in the garden.
Take the family and wander the flower patch, breathe in the fresh hills air, pick some fresh, colourful flowers and take some gorgeous photos with the kids. We visited in October 2023 and truly loved the experience.
Charleston Farm is a private family farm and bookings and advance payment is required. Session numbers are limited so it’s not crowded while you’re there.
Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times, as there are barbed wire fences keeping cattle in and a dam close by. Pets are not allowed.
Keep a look out on their socials or website to find out when they have Pick Your Own sessions – it’s completely reliant on when there are enough flowers in blooms and the weather.
PRICES:
The cost is $45 per adult picking (as at October 2024). This is charged at the time of booking and includes 12 stems. Don’t forget to BYO jar/vase/bucket to transport your blooms home.
Snips, a jug and harvest instructions (including what blooms can be picked) will be provided upon arrival. Snips and jugs are to remain at the farm.
Please remember this is a working farm so there will be uneven surfaces and things you can hook your clothes on. They ask you to be careful and please use the paths. It is advised to wear closed toe shoes.
