The City of Playford’s biggest and FREE barbecue breakfast is back in full swing for Australia Day 2025.
This year’s Australia Day Breakfast is set to be one of Playford’s biggest events on the 2025 calendar, offering its popular free breakfast and entertainment for the community to enjoy.
The event at Fremont Park will feature entertainment from crowd favourites Humphrey B Bear and Sun of Africa Drumming, plus Playford City Band, Phap Hoa Lion Dance, Jordan D’Sena, Juliet Oliver, Emerauld and Heatwave. The morning will also offer free activities including carnival rides, face painting, glitter tattoos, Junior Tradies SA and Games 2 U.
A flag raising ceremony with Mayor Glenn Docherty and young people from the Ridley District Scouts and Girl Guides Munno Para will mark the commencement of the morning, as well as the announcement of the 2025 Playford Citizen of the Year Awards.
Free breakfast choices include egg-in-bread and shortcut bacon with BBQ or tomato sauce, or a fruit cup medley. Coffee, drinks and other food options such as Dutch pancakes are available for purchase from food trucks. A refillable hydration station and a sensory chill out zone is located at the event.
Toilets and baby change table are located on site. Parking, including a disability drop-off, is also available.
