The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market is gearing up for a month of holiday cheer, bringing you Christmas joy every Sunday from 3 to 24 December 2023, plus a market on New Year’s Eve.
Fill your table with local, farm fresh goods this festive season. The timing is perfect to stock up on delicious produce and have the best festive spread in town to share and enjoy on Christmas and New Year’s Day. You can also pre-order with selected stallholders now for pick up during December.
The market has a sleigh full of activities planned for December too, ensuring a festive atmosphere for the whole family!

Sunday 3 December 2023 | Find Elves on Market Shelves
Join the Elves on the Shelves hunt at Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market from 8:30am to 12pm. Enjoy the enchanting tunes of the Biodegradable Bards as you search for 12 hidden elves. Grab an entry form at the Information Booth, find all 12 elves, complete the form, and drop it in the entry box by 12pm and you could win your own Elf on the Shelf! The prize draw takes place at the Market 12:15pm on Sunday 3 December 2023.
Sunday 10 December 2023 | Remember to pre-order for Christmas!
Enjoy the musical talents of the Ukelele Group and Concordia Quartet, plus make a Christmas Wreath at Kids’ Corner.
Sunday 17 December 2023 | Santa’s Arrival and FREE Photo Opportunity
On Sunday 17 December 2023 from 9am to 11:30am, Santa Claus will make a special appearance at the market. Capture the magic with a FREE photo in their festive farmers market setting – just bring your own device and the elves will take care of the rest.
Keeping with the festive spirit, the SA Youth Guitar Ensemble will be performing live Christmas carols starting at 9:30am. Plus, they’ll also have a face painter on-site to add some Christmas magic for the kids.

Kickstart your Christmas Eve with the Early Start Market (7:30am to 11:30am) and heartwarming Christmas Carols. Your one-stop destination for all things festive, they’ve got your last-minute essentials covered. From delightful gifts to fresh supplies, find everything you need in one spot. Don’t miss out on the joy of stress-free shopping this holiday season.
Sunday 31 December 2023 | New Year’s Day Market
Bid farewell to the year and stock up on New Year’s Eve essentials. From farm-fresh produce to platters for sharing and all the holiday break necessities, the market has you covered. Explore a variety of options, including organic wine, beer, gin, and more.
The Market is free to enter, so go along together, walk, ride, drive or catch public transport and enjoy their authentic farmers’ market atmosphere.
Parking is available via Rose Terrace, Wayville or enter via Leader Street.
