Flinders Park Oval Playground | Flinders Park | Review

Flinders Park Oval Playground – equipment for a range of ages and a huge basket swing.
Review by Claire Davill
The playground in the park surrounding the oval here has been recently upgraded (2025), and there’s plenty of equipment here that’s suitable for toddlers and older kids.
The main equipment includes many low-to-the-ground and smaller platforms that are perfect for toddlers. There’s a noughts and crosses board, play shop, stepping stones and small climbing nets to explore.

There’s equipment for bigger kids too, including rope bridges, wobbly platforms, monkey bars, and climbing walls.

There are two slides, one smaller for toddlers and one larger.

Nearby is a large spider web climbing net, springy four way seesaw, and a large rope swing.

You’ll also find two toddler swings and two regular swings, together with some stepping stones and logs.

Nearby is a huge basket swing, perfect for adventurous swings.

The playground sits adjacent to the oval, and there are tennis and netball courts nearby, as well as picnic tables and fully accessible toilets with baby change tables. Note that the toilets are located at the oval clubrooms, and might be locked when sport teams are not present. The nearest public toilets are located a three minute drive (1km) away, on Findon Road at the Tedder Reserve Dog Park.
Things to Consider:
- The playground is not fenced, and Hartley Road is a fairly major road. Keep an eye on little ones.
- The playground is well shaded by trees, but some areas will be in full sun at certain times of the day.
- Off-street parking is available via the Oval entrance on Hartley Road.
Location:
Rawlings Avenue, Flinders Park. Parking is also available off Hartley Road and Pine Street.
