Best free things to do at the 2026 Royal Adelaide Show.

A day at the Royal Adelaide Show doesn’t have to be all about rides and showbags! Once you’re through the gates, there are plenty of activities, entertainment and experiences included with your admission. From animals and interactive activities to live shows and spectacular entertainment, we’ve rounded up some of the best FREE things to do at the 2026 Royal Adelaide Show to help families make the most of their day without spending extra.

See the Farm Animals

Check out cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, horses, alpacas and other livestock, with plenty of animal displays and competitions around the Show.

Visit Aggie’s Farm

Kids can become mini farmers, collecting produce, exploring the farm stations and even trying their hand at milking a cow. It’s a free interactive experience.

Watch Free Kids’ Shows

The Goyder Stage has a daily mid-week program of children’s entertainment, including Octonauts, PJ Masks and Justice League performances. You can view the daily show times here.

Catch the Free Boulevard Stage Entertainment

The Boulevard Stage has comedy, music, dance, acrobatics and street performers, all included with your Show ticket.  Families will love The Farmy Farm – it has has more going on than a chook in a worm farm! Join dead set legends Kenny and Jenny for a day on their farm, getting jobs done with a tractor-load of comedy, farming tomfoolery and an acreage of acrobatics.

Watch the Daredevil Shows

Airtime FMX launches motorcycles up to 15 metres into the air, with multiple performances throughout the Show – there are day and night time performances.

Direct from the USA, David “The Bullet” Smith is ready to be blasted high above the Main Arena in a gravity-defying stunt. From the heart-stopping launch, watch as this world-record-breaking Human Cannonball soars through the sky in flawless precision and at breathtaking speed, every night on the Main Arena.

 

Visit the Hot Wheels Activity Zone

Check out the Hot Wheels performance vehicles and enjoy Hot Wheels Activity Zone family activities behind the Showbag Hall.

Discover The Buzz about Bees!

Observe a fully enclosed live beehive in action, where bees continuously fly in and out to gather food from nearby flowers. 

Visit the Dog Pavilion

A great stop for animal lovers and for families who may be considering a new pet, with dogs and breed displays to see.

Explore the Agricultural Displays & Competitions

The Competition Judging is not to be missed.  Check out prize-winning produce, baking, flowers, art, craft and horticultural exhibits.  Highlights include the Agility & Jumping Trial and the Cookery on Display.

Royal Adelaide Show 2025

Explore Taste SA

More than 35 producers from around the state are joining Taste SA in 2026 to share their produce (and their secrets) with showgoers.  You’ll get to sample a huge range of products including olives and olive oil, smallgoods, condiments, baked goods, confectionery, honey and much more.

Head to the Western Stage

The new Western Stage country-themed area features live music, line dancing, comedy, quizzes, science shows and interactive experiences, including Nitro Nat with her explosive fun, mind-blowing experiments, and plenty of laughs.

Look out for Roving Performers

Characters, marching bands, interactive activations and performers pop up around the Showground.  Keep an eye out for the Band of the SA Police, the very tall Traffic Controller, Jo and Massed Pipe Bands of South Australia.

Watch the Livestock Judging and Demonstrations

It’s a great way for kids to see animals up close and learn a little about farming.

Visit The Learning Centre

Fun for all ages, The Learning Centre is a good option for children interested in agriculture, sustainability and how food gets from farm to table.  It includes feeding baby animals, sheep shearing and cow milking.

Stay for the Evening Entertainment

The Nightshift program includes the world-record-breaking Human Cannonball soaring through the sky, the Hot Wheels Burnout Inferno and Hot Wheels Super Truck Challenge, Airtime Freestyle Motocross and the fireworks spectacular finale.
