Yellow Brick Road Showbag | Royal Adelaide Show | Review
The Yellow Brick Road is a showbag, activity and family tradition rolled into one that we look forward to every year at the Royal Adelaide Show.
Review by Angelica-Hazel Toutounji
There is something so nostalgic about the Yellow Brick Road Showbag. It conjures up special childhood memories of years gone by and it’s even more special sharing the experience with your own children and helping to create memories with them. This year we visited with my mother-in-law who, shock horror, had never experienced the Royal Adelaide Show’s Yellow Brick Road Showbag!

Upon purchasing the YBR showbag, my mother-in-law looked confused. We were given a bright yellow reusable bag and a map to follow. She thought we had initially been ripped off before we explained to her that the show bag takes you on a trail right around the show stopping for goodies along the way. Two stops in she understood the hype and was commenting on how much fun it was and such good value for families too.

Not only is the YBR showbag great value, an enjoyable activity and fun way to take you around the various areas of the show, the products are a great representation of South Australian businesses and even contain healthy produce. They also switch up the brands and food items each year, so it’s always fun to see what’s on offer.

This year the YBR showbag was $14 for one or two for $24, which is great if you have multiple kids!
Here is what is included this year:
- Mandarin – Citrus SA
- Apple – Fruit Producers SA
- Banana – Pick a Local, pick SA!
- Kelloggs 450g Nutri-grain Low Sugar – Foodbank SA
- Toothbrush & toothpaste – Australian Dental Foundation
- Olive Oil & Fennel Seed – Tarallini – Continental Taralli Biscuits
- Blueberry Muffin – Vili’s Family Bakery
- Pot of Yoghurt – Fleurieu Milk Company
- Vanilla Bean Gelati – Gelista
- Fuzzy Bum Honey Sachets – SA Country Shows
- Hand & Face wipes – The Hygiene Co.
We had an absolutely blast following the Yellow Brick Road map with our kids. We loved the products, the experience and now have a cool bag that we can reuse for future shopping trips.

*Please note: Yellow Brick Road maps should be treated like cash. Maps will not be reissued if lost or stolen.
