Happy Home Reserve Upgrades | Salisbury | Expected to Open Feb 2026

Upgrades are underway at Happy Home Reserve, bringing exciting new features the whole community can enjoy, including a brand-new road safety park, car park and more.

Perfect for families, the road safety park is designed to help children gain confidence using bikes, scooters, and wheelchairs in a safe, real-world-style setting. It will be free to use and open to the whole community once complete. 

Features of the road safety park:

• An asphalt circuit with pedestrian and train crossings
• Working traffic lights and signage
• Line markings to simulate road conditions.

The park will also offer family-friendly amenities such as a basketball halfcourt and futsal space, BBQ facilities, park seating and shade, new footpath connections, secure fencing, a drinking fountain, landscaped gardens, and a minor public lighting extension.

These upgrades offer more recreational opportunities, support social connection and encourage active lifestyles within the city.

A new 130-space carpark will help ease congestion in the warmer months as the community continue to enjoy the Salisbury Aquatic Centre.

A new entrance to the reserve will also be constructed on Waterloo Corner Road in October to improve access and traffic flow. Located approximately 30m west of the current entrance, it will feature wider lanes, a new right-turn lane, and an extended slip lane on Waterloo Corner Road.

Project works for the Happy Home Reserve precinct are expected to be completed by early 2026.
