Campfire Dessert Cones Recipe

Campfire season is well and truly upon us. Why not try making these delicious dessert cones over the fire on your next camping trip.
They’re easy to do. The kids will love making them. Only a few ingredients are needed, and you can use your favourite fillings.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 packet Waffle Cones
- 1 packet Marshmallows
- 1 packet Milk Choc Chips
- 1 packet Maltesers
- 1 punnet Strawberries
- Alfoil
Here’s how to prepare and cook them:
Take out desired amount of ingredients from each packet. Cut marshmallows into quarters and strawberries into small chunks. Place in a bowl with some Maltesers and choc chips, mixing together. Scoop the mixture into the waffle cones, filling to the top.
Carefully wrap each cone in alfoil and make sure to twist each end tightly. Once wrapped, place the cones on a hot plate over the campfire. Rotate each cone a few times to warm the chocolatey marshmallow mix, and within five minutes you should have a delicious, gooey treat.
They are sure to be a hit with little campers!
Some Tips:
- You don’t have to save these for a camping trip, you could make them at home on your BBQ or firepit
- Add a small scoop of ice cream to the top once cooked. Yummm!
- Change up the fillings! Why not try Nutella with Marshmallows and Strawberries, or Banana and Peanut Butter
