Maltesers Birthday Cake – Quick & Simple Instructions

You won’t find a recipe idea easier to assemble yet with the wow factor this Maltesers cake brings to the table.

Using just three ingredients, our clever Play & Go friend Heidi shared her simple birthday cake idea with us.

Using a store bought mud cake (from Coles),  Kit Kats and Maltesers, simply place the Kit Kats around the edge of the cake and secure with ribbon.

Next, you pile the Maltesers on top of the cake, saving some to thread onto a wooden skewer that is then attached to the empty packet and poked into the cake.  To achieve the look of the Maltesers being poured onto the cake, apply a little heat to a few Maltesers to melt the chocolate slightly, then as they cool they will adhere to each other.  You could also use some extra melted milk chocolate to pile the Maltesers up high.

Heidi also made a similar cake last year using M&Ms.
