Moonlight Cinema, Australia’s favourite outdoor cinema, will be back for a summer season at Adelaide’s Botanic Park.
Promising another epic season of outdoor screenings under the stars, classic fan-faves and newly released films will be shown on the big screen in our beautiful Botanic Park from 28 November 2024. The Thursday opening night will feature a screening of Barbie, followed by The Fall Guy and Gladiator II on the following nights.
New films will include It Ends With Us, Wicked and Paddington in Peru. There will be a variety of family friendly Christmas films too, including The Holiday, Home Alone, Elf, The Muppet Christmas Carol and Love Actually.

Adelaide’s Moonlight Cinema is located at Botanic Park (adjacent to Adelaide Botanic Garden), Hackney Road, Adelaide. Enter Botanic Park via Plane Tree Drive. SEE MAP HERE
Food & Drinks
You can buy dinner at their on-site food trucks and grab a drink at the licensed bar, plus all the classic movie snacks and drinks will be available from the candy bar. You can also take along your own picnic – they allow BYO.
Please note Moonlight Venues are CASHLESS. Please make sure to bring along your credit card, debit card or gift card to purchase food and beverage or bean beds on site.
Dog Friendly
Moonlight Cinema venues love to see happy pooches enjoy their beautiful park. Dogs are welcome in all sections including the premium areas; Gold Grass and the Connoisseur Lounge.
Please just take note of a few house rules: If a dog is brought into the venue it must be kept on a short leash (2m or under) at all times. The owner is required to respect the park as well as other patrons by picking up after the dog and keeping it quiet during the film. Please bring a drinking container and plenty of water for your dog.
