Narnu Farm
Narnu Farm on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula is the perfect location for a idyllic weekend getaway or short holiday.
Designed with families and children in mind, this quaint coastal destination provides a taste of country living in a safe, quiet environment. The spacious working farm setting greets you as you drive up the dirt road towards your chosen self contained cottage.
The majority of cottages are situated at one end of the property offering privacy yet open space, but the set out is also well suited to a group of families planning to interact yet wanting their own accommodation. There are 2 paved, undercover bbq areas, ball sport facilities, bike trails, evening campfires during the winter months and of course plenty of animals!
Animal feeding at Narnu Farm
All cottage guests are encouraged to take part in the twice daily complimentary activity of feeding the animals – entertaining for both adults and children alike. Experience hand milking the cow, feeding the goats or handling a newborn chick. Other animals include deer, pigs, potty lambs, calves & kids, chickens, an emu, peacocks, jersey cows, cats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs and a sausage dog. Then of course there are the horses!
Narnu Farm horse riding
Horse riding is offered for all ages and is the most popular activity at Narnu Farm. There are a whole range of horses – from a tiny Shetland Pony right through to a giant Clydesdale. Bookings are required early and include riding lessons, pony rides and forest trail rides. Day visitors can also join in these activities.
Other activities at Narnu Farm
Other favourite activities include the ride on Elsie – the red vintage truck – through the paddocks to hand feed carrots to the horses. There is a fort in the ‘woods’ that draw the children like bees to honey – a fantastic hideaway to bury treasures, tell stories and let their imaginary play run wild!
