Nature for Everyone
Take in ecosystems, native plants, Aboriginal culture, eat bush foods and enjoy hands on nature experiences.
At ‘Nature for Everyone’ you can select from an array of events or experiences on the day. This event is being put on by Circle of Friends Australia Inc., a refugee support group. Some refugees in South Australia will be invited to learn about the Australian environment, wildlife, and Aboriginal and First Nations culture in a tranquil space. However, this event is open to everyone.
Activities:
Eating Native Bush Foods
Participate in site tours to Laratinga Wetlands and Mt Barker Summit
A tour of Laratinga Wetlands and Mount Barker Summit and bush foods available for lunch.
Be part of a workshop about bush tucker and artefacts
Get up close and learn about Aboriginal artefacts, tools and learn about native bush tucker and plants. Touch, feel and smell as you learn and discover how artefacts were made and used from the environment, to gather and hunt.
