Tasting Australia presented by RAA Travel is postponed to 9 – 18 October 2020. They are now confirming all programming and this event will be updated with the latest details once they become available. Current tickets to events are transferable to these new dates and ticket holders will be sent their new tickets in due course. Kay Brothers will host an evening of delicious wine, food and stargazing with Backyard Universe astronomy guides, and an introduction to Aboriginal Astronomy by Paul Curnow from the Adelaide Planetarium, including a large screen to display the constellations in detail.
Choose from delicious local produce to build your very own picnic basket, or bring your own picnic to have alongside handcrafted McLaren Vale wines from Kay Brothers.
Kay Brothers is also partnering with the local McLaren Vale CFS brigade for a gourmet sausage sizzle at the event to raise additional funds for our hardworking first responders.
Situated on a hill 10 mins from McLaren Vale Main Street, and only 1 hour from Adelaide CBD, family owned winery Kay Brothers enjoys an uninterrupted view across the vineyards to the Mount Lofty Ranges. Equipped with a brand new expansive viewing deck and generous, grassed picnic grounds, it is a wonderful spot to enjoy a warm evening of delicious wine, food and the glittering lights of the night sky.
There will be space themed activities for the kids, as well as the chance to look through a professional telescope for space enthusiasts young and old.
Food on offer will include handmade savoury and sweet crepes from locals Crepe City, local produce platters including delicious Second Valley Cheese and condiments from Spice Girlz, as well as the CFS gourmet sausage sizzle to tempt visitors on the night.
