Heading to the Clare Valley? If you’re visiting with kids, make sure you put @martindalehall on your itinerary.

This beautiful old mansion in Mintaro is such an interesting place to explore with kids. Wander through the grand rooms, discover Egyptian treasures, see the incredibly deep old baths and learn about the families who once called the Hall home.

The kids also loved running around the grassy grounds afterwards – and spotting wild kangaroos nearby was a bonus! 🦘

Martindale Hall is open throughout the year, with the Junior Detective program adding some extra fun during selected school holidays.

@patch_theatre’s much-loved Me & My Shadow has been captivating audiences for 16 years – and here’s why!

We sent along Miss 4 and Miss (almost) 8 to put it to the test, and it passed with flying shadows…we mean colours.

The youngest sat entranced the whole show, while the eldest was laughing and exclaiming with equal parts amazement and amusement. 🤩

Full of clever physical theatre, playful humour and a little bit of magic, there were plenty of giggles, gasps and “Oh my goodness, what on earth is happening?” moments.

Don’t miss it - it’s perfect for ages 4–8 (but adults will love it too!) and it’s on @adelaidefescent - 15, 22 & 29 August 2026
