Thalassa Park’s Storybook Walk celebrates I’m a Dirty Dinosaur character with a Family Fun Day

Thalassa Park’s magical Storybook Walk has a new resident – the beloved children’s character from I’m a Dirty Dinosaur.

Everyone is invited to join them for a FREE family fun day to celebrate the latest public art sculpture by artist Sally Wickes in the popular Storybook Walk at Thalassa Park on Saturday, 14 March 2020.

Janeen Brian and Ann James’ Dirty Dinosaur will join 14 characters from children’s picture books like Mulga Bill’s Bicycle, Possum Magic, and Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.

There will be plenty of family activities on the day including face painting, roving performers and activities where children will be able to create their own dinosaur masterpieces.

You’ll also be able to meet author Janeen Brian, illustrator Ann James and artist Sally Wickes on the day. Children are encouraged to wear their favourite dress up costume on the day.

QR codes on plaques will give visitors immediate access to the children’s books online in the library system to borrow the book and find out more about the artists.

Go along and enjoy some fabulous public art in Thalassa Park.
