Town Picnic | Rymill Park | Postponed

AFWF_2014_Town-Pic

There is a new family friendly event for the Adelaide Food & Wine Festival in 2014.ย  Town Picnic will be a fun family day out with an old-school feel, think: egg and spoon races, home-made lemonade, Country Womenโ€™s Association Hampers and cake stalls, a craft corner for children led by the team at Granny Skills, sustainable gardens from the Productive Garden Co, and even a special treat for the dog in your life!

Choose from a range of local produce, wine, beer and cider. Bring a picnic rug or grab one at the festival.

Thereโ€™ll be a main stage with entertainment hosted by 891 ABC Adelaideโ€™s Sonya Feldhoffย as well asย more intimate classes led by SAโ€™s best in food and wine. Peter Combe with the Crunchy Munchy VERY Sticky Band will entertain the crowd.ย  Special guest, Peter Russell Clarke,ย will cook up some damper for a kids class and show us how to bone, stuff and smoke a whole fish. Weโ€™re very excited to have him in Adelaide.

Come and get it!ย  Free entry

Editor’s Note 8 April 2014

Due to the inclement weather forecast over the next couple of days including heavy rains, the decision has been made to postpone the Town Picnic programmed for Rymill Park as part of this yearโ€™s Adelaide Food & Wine Festival on Saturday 12th April.ย  We are working with Splash Adelaide and event suppliers (especially Peter Coombe!) on choosing another date for this event and will announce this in good time.ย  It is most likely that we will now stage the event in Spring.
