Walking Through a Songline Exhibition | FREE Immersive Exhibition | Salisbury Community Hub | 20 Jun-31 Jul 2024

Walking Through a Songline Exhibition: NOW OPEN at the Salisbury Community Hub!

Get ready for an extraordinary journey into Australia’s rich cultural heritage with the ‘Walking Through a Songline’ exhibition, is now open at the Salisbury Community Hub from 20 June to 31 July 2024. This immersive, free, all-ages exhibition promises a unique experience where ancient traditions blend seamlessly with cutting-edge technology.

‘Walking Through a Songline’ is a mesmerizing digital experience that forms part of the National Museum of Australia’s acclaimed exhibition, ‘Songlines: Tracking the Seven Sisters’. This innovative pop-up exhibition, created in collaboration with Mosster Studio and supported by traditional Aboriginal custodians, allows visitors to immerse themselves in the captivating stories of the Seven Sisters.

Songlines, or Dreaming tracks, map the routes of Ancestral beings as they travelled across Australia, creating the land and its people. Through stunning projections and interactive displays, this exhibition brings these ancient stories to life, offering a multi-sensory experience where visitors can see, hear, and feel the narrative in a new and engaging way through a self guided tour.

Don’t miss this chance to experience the wonder of songlines. Whether you’re a local community member, a student, or simply curious about Australia’s Indigenous heritage, ‘Walking Through a Songline’ offers something for everyone.

Prepare to be inspired and moved by the timeless stories of the Seven Sisters at the Salisbury Community Hub.

Self guided tours (duration approximately 8 minutes) are available during staffed hours at the Salisbury Community Hub every day of the week and will close Wednesday 31 July 2024. Please note, limited access may be set in place during private viewings.
