WOW Day – Wear Orange Wednesday – is a national day of recognition to say ‘thank you’ to all SES volunteers across Australia.
This year, WOW Day will be celebrated on Wednesday 22 May 2024 from 12pm – 3pm. WOW Day celebrations will be held across Australia and all workplaces and organisations are encouraged to host their own WOW Day morning tea or event and wear orange clothing. For those not hosting their own event, the SES is hosting a special WOW Day event in Rundle Mall under the Gawler Place canopy and everyone is invited.
You can show your support by jumping on the socials wearing orange and share the love with #ThankYouSES.
What to do on WOW Day:
- Wear something orange in colour
- Take a photo of yourself and your colleagues wearing orange and post it to social media using the hashtag #ThankYouSES
- Host a WOW Day morning tea
- Bake something orange
- Light up your home or workplace in orange lights
- Say thank you to a SES volunteer
- Join the SES at the Special WOW Day event at Rundle Mall in Adelaide
