Autism SA Birthday Party – School Holidays

Autism SA is offering young people an opportunity to go along to an Autism SA Birthday Party this school holidays.

The new program, starting in Elizabeth and planing to run in the southern suburbs later this year, is a fun themed, skill building group designed to support young people to attend birthday parties with their peers. The ‘Birthday Party’ will be carefully scaffolded to encourage children to interact with others, engage in typical party games and share party food in a supported environment.

There is also the potential to hold more than one group dependent on the age range of those interested.

The staff to client ratio will be kept high to also mimic the adult to child ratio often present at non-therapeutic parties.

Participants will attend the party for 2 hours to simulate a real birthday party.

Cost: $210.20 (NDIS funded participants can use their Improved Daily Living Budget)

Themes: Disney, Lego, Minecraft, Disco
