Camp KickStart – Urgent NEW Summer Clothing Donations Needed for Kids in Need.
South Australian not-for-profit organisation KickStart for Kids (KSFK) is urgently calling on donations of clothing for their upcoming Camp KickStart Summer School Holiday Care Program.
Camp KickStart is a program run by the charity’s dedicated team of volunteers, providing children aged 5 to 13 with the opportunity to have fun during the holidays. Activities can include arts and crafts, cooking classes, excursions, celebrity visitors and so much more as well as transport to and from home.
Each camp also features a Pop-Up Clothing Shop, giving children the opportunity to select brand new clothes to take home. As the weather warms up, KSFK is asking South Australians to help ensure every child attending camp has access to comfortable, suitable clothing for the summer months.
Founder of KickStart for Kids Ian Steel said:
“Demand for our breakfast program, camps and services is higher than ever due to cost of living and it is really showing in the lack of essential clothes these kids have.
We are encouraging those that can help out to dig deep and donate some clothes for our kids,”
KickStart for Kids are calling on donations of NEW clothing items, including shoes, socks, and underwear. These can be purchased for as little as $3 from Kmart, BigW and Target.
The following NEW clothing items are urgently needed:
- Shoes: Sizes 5, 6, 7
- Socks: All sizes
- Girls’ Undies: All sizes
- Boys’ Undies: Sizes 12–14
- Track Pants: All sizes
- Pyjamas (Boys & Girls): All sizes
- Boys’ T-Shirts: Sizes 9, 10, 12, 14
- Boys’ Shorts: Sizes 5, 12, 14
- Boys’ Boardies: All sizes
- Girls’ T-Shirts: Sizes 9–14
- Girls’ Leggings: All sizes
- Girls’ Shorts: Sizes 5, 6, 7, 12, 14
- Dresses: Sizes 5, 9, 10, 12
A little kindness can go a long way, please help if you can and make a difference.
Every school holidays over 300 kids attend the camps across five South Australian locations. They provide kids with transport to and from home and excursions with food, books, clothes and fun things to do as well as partnering them with a mentor for extra support and self-esteem building.

Items can be donated to the KickStart for Kids headquarters – 87 James Melrose Road, Novar Gardens.
