Light the Night for the Leukaemia Foundation
Let’s shine a light on blood cancer.
Light the Night is the Leukaemia Foundation’s beautiful evening lantern walk, where Australians come together and transform the darkness into a sea of glowing light to give hope to all those impacted by blood cancer.
It’s your night to walk beside those facing their own blood cancer journey, and to remember loved ones lost.
As part of Light the Night, help raise vital funds to support families living with blood cancer and towards investment into life-changing research. Entertainment and food will be available at the event.
Register now and your reserved lantern will be ready for you to pick up on the night at the event.
Schedule of Events:
5pm | Gates are open to the public, you will be able to visit 1 of 2 lantern tents to pick up your lantern for the night. Live acoustic music.
5:30pm | Welcome presentation by the MC begins.
5:45pm | Live music.

Sadly 7,500 Australians will lose their life to blood cancer this year, making blood cancer one of this country’s biggest causes of cancer death. That’s 20 people every day. Right now, more than 110,000 Australians are living with a blood cancer or related disorders.
Research is improving survival – but there’s still a long way to go. In 1998, children diagnosed with leukaemia had around a 65 per cent chance of survival. Today, improvements in treatment and care mean nearly 90 per cent will survive the disease.
