Visit the refurbished play area at McConnell Avenue Reserve at Marino.
The McConnell Avenue Reserve boasts stunning coastal views along with numerous sports drawcards such as a tennis court, basketball court, netball ring and room to ride a bike. There is an undercover seating area and a BBQ, plus there is also plenty of open lawn play space to run around.
The site features the following elements:
- A single tennis court and separate basketball and netball ring
- Loop path for scooter and bike riding
- Junior kickabout and passive recreational activities
- Native plantings to attract wildlife
- A bike repair station
- Irrigated flat lawn area for community picnics
Other amenities include a barbeque and drinking fountain. Native plants and trees have been retained with mulched surroundings.
There is also an area for riding bikes opposite on a disused netball court.
This is an off-leash park where dogs can exercise off-leash, except within 5 metres of a playground, at a wetland or when organised sport is being played.
There are no toilets at this reserve and no playground.
