Navigating the NDIS: Advice on Advocating for your Child and Making the most of their Support Plan
Parents are invited to attend this free event on Saturday 10 July to hear about how they can navigate the NDIS with a focus on the needs of Autistic and Neuro Diverse children.
The NDIS can be an amazing resource, but it can also be a stressful set of rules and regulations to navigate. When you are simply trying to focus on providing the best supports for your child it can be easy to become lost in the fine print. This event is an opportunity to hear from Katie Baylis, a specialist Behavioural Therapist and NDIS advocate. She will be presenting a one hour talk on how to make the most out of the supports offered through NDIS with a focus on the needs of Autistic and Neuro Diverse children.
She will be covering a range of topics including how to focus therapies for various core and capacity building goals, how to prepare for plan reviews and how to work with providers for best results.
Children are welcome to accompany their parents to the event where a supervised activity area will be provided for their entertainment while the talk takes place.
This free event is being presented jointly by Spectrum Connect Australia and the Fulham Community Centre. While it is a free event, numbers are limited so please register for a free ticket to attend.
