R U OK? Day | I’m Here, to Hear | 14 Sep 2023

R U OK? Day is our annual National Day of Action and a reminder that every day is the day to check in with your friends, family and colleagues.

R U OK?’s vision is a world where we’re all connected and are protected from suicide.

They work to start conversations every day of the year, but R U OK? Day is the national day of action, on the second Thursday of September, dedicated to reminding people to regularly check in with family, friends, colleagues and neighbours.

R U OK? Day is Thursday 14 September 2023 and the message for R U OK?Day 2023 is: ‘R U OK?, I’m here, to hear’

‘R U OK?, I’m here, to hear’ calls on all of us to let the people in our world know we’re here, to really hear them because a conversation could change a life.

‘R U OK?, I’m here, to hear’ comes in response to research that found more than four in five people who engaged in a meaningful conversation felt better about managing their situation having talked it through and felt supported, heard, and safe during the conversation.

Please help share the R U OK? message.

Asking R U OK? is the first step, but we need to genuinely listen to what comes next.
