Amazing Micro Worlds
See what it’s like to be a scientist and explore amazing micro worlds using advanced microscopes.
Children and teens will receive staff guidance to operate the equipment, and can pick and choose what micro slide they would like to investigate underneath the lens. This is an inclusive free event at the Tea Tree Gully Library for children and teens aged 7-15 who may require adjustments such as low light, low noise, staff support and lots of visuals.
There will also be a STEM recharge zone, including creative play with robots and Lego, and sensory play. This will allow participants who may get over-stimulated or overwhelmed to step away from the microscopes. There will be one microscope available for every two participants.
There are two sessions available:
- Tuesday 15 August | 4pm-5pm (SOLD OUT)
- Thursday 17 August | 11am-12pm
An adult must accompany all children.
