Legacy Week 2020
For almost a century, Legacy has kept the promise to thousands of veterans’ families by providing financial and social support for those in their care during times of hardship and grief.
The community will have the opportunity to support the Legacy Club of South Australia and Broken Hill Club during Legacy Week, Saturday 29 August to Saturday 5 September 2020.
This year for the first time since 1944, due to COVID-19, the Legacy Club of South Australia and Broken Hill is unable to hold their historical Badge Appeal in the usual way. So their focus is on Little Badge: Big Impact – the idea that even the smallest of donations will have a real and heartwarming impact on veterans’ families.
The Legacy Club of South Australia and Broken Hill, along with 44 other Clubs around Australia and 1 in London, is working to navigate a very different Legacy Week to years gone by.
The Legacy Club of South Australia and Broken Hill currently looks after 4612 veterans’ families, providing services like home-care visits, day trips, education support, holiday camps and activities for Legacy Youth.
How to help:
Legacy merchandise, including badges, pens and Legacy bears will be available at their Club during Legacy Week, as well as on their website.
