What’s On for Families & Kids in Adelaide over the October Long Weekend.
The October long weekend (for Labour Day on Monday 5 October 2026) coincides with the middle of the South Australian school holidays so there’s plenty on offer for families to enjoy. You can make the most of the longer days too with the start of daylight savings on Sunday 4 October 2026 (clocks move forward one hour).
Spring is the perfect time to head outside and explore a new playground or walking trail, take a drive to the coast or up into the hills for the day, or book into a caravan park and take the kids for a camping adventure.
