The Great Duck Race | Strathalbyn | 19 Nov 2023

On the second Sunday in November each year, the Rotary Club of Strathalbyn hosts the Great South Australian Duck Race, held in the Soldiers Memorial Park at the beautiful township of Strathalbyn.

To be in the race, purchase a raffle ticket which gets you a yellow duck that matches your raffle ticket number and the chance to win a prize from the $2,000 prize pool. The major prize is $1,000! There are 2,500 ducks up for grabs and once the tickets are sold the opportunity is gone.

You can also add some adventure to your day and travel to Strathalbyn on the Steamranger Heritage Railway.

The Adelaide Rally will also be running their annual event through the Hills and Fleurieu with over 400 rally cars heading to Strathalbyn on the day. There will be a time trial street circuit around the town and park, plus there will be food vans, and a market run by the Strathalbyn CWA with lots of market stalls and plenty of fun for the kids.
