Celebrate the return of the Glenelg Christmas Pageant.
The Glenelg Christmas Pageant is a much-loved tradition, not only enjoyed by Holdfast Bay residents but visitors to the City as well.
Children and adults alike will once again line Jetty Road on Sunday 24 November 2024 to cheer and wave along with the fantastic floats, dancers and of course the man in red. There will be an opportunity to meet Santa afterwards and participate in kid’s activities.
The route is changing slightly this year, making it longer with a new start and finish location. Starting at 10.30am from the Jetty Road intersection at Partridge and Gordon streets, it will then travel down Jetty Road and along Colley Terrace all the way to the Anzac Highway roundabout.
The change in the route is to accommodate construction works on Jetty Road near the Brighton Road intersection, which is part of the multi-million dollar Transforming Jetty Road Glenelg project.
Following the pageant, head to Moseley Square to support young entrepreneurs who’ll be selling their wares at the Maker Markets or pop past the Glenelg Town Hall to have a free photo with Santa and share your Christmas wish list with him.
Accessible Viewing Area
There will be a dedicated accessible viewing area along the pageant route for people who use wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
The accessible viewing area will be located at the junction of Jetty Road and Partridge Street. There will be an accessible toilet at this location with additional accessible parking in the nearby Partridge Street car park.
Bookings are not required for this space but they ask pageant goers to please be respectful and allow the space to be used by people who require it.
