Reindeer Biscuits | Easy Christmas Treat to Make | Kids Recipe

Reindeer Biscuit animal smile

These Reindeer Biscuits are a favourite of ours at Christmas time and are super easy to make. I make the icing and then the kids take over the rest. They are great for Christmas parties, for giving as gifts and of course on Christmas day.

See our video below on how to make the reindeer biscuits:

What You Need

  • Pure Icing Sugar – this sets hard (unlike soft icing sugar) – just add water to the icing sugar and mix together until you get an easy consistency to smooth over biscuits.
  • Arnott’s Milk Arrowroot Biscuits or any other similar plain biscuits
  • Pretzels (for the ears)
  • Jaffas (or choc orange balls) for the nose
  • Milk Chocolate Chips (the cooking ones you put into choc chip biscuits) for the eyes
  • Tube of Writing Icing in Pink to draw the mouth (can be omitted)

Reindeer biscuits ingredients

Simply spread the white icing onto the biscuit and then stick all the features on.

It’s as simple as that.

For those a bit inclined to be a little on the control freak or OCD side, I have learnt to take a deep breath and don’t look too closely when the kids make these on their own. The icing may not be spread evenly over the biscuit and the eyes, nose and mouth may not be aligned consistently. This is not MasterChef. These biscuits will be made with love and Christmas joy that only little people can provide. Delicious!

Here is another version of Reindeer Biscuits our friend Toni, of Fairydust Stylish Stationery, and her kids, made. This version is made with Nutella, Tiny Teddy biscuits, chocolate chips and Strawberries & Cream lollies. You could replace the Nutella with chocolate icing as a nut-free version. Here are the instructions from Phoodie.
