BAKING & COOKING
We have lots of ideas already in our Baking & Cooking Category HERE, but below we’ve listed some of our favourite kitchen inspirations.
Bake a Cake
Learn a recipe from scratch (there are hundreds to choose from online) or simply start with a packet mix. We’ve used Greens Classic Chocolate Cake Mix and it’s never failed us. Check out the Taste website here with easy recipes for kids.

As with making a cake, start a recipe from scratch, use a packet mix or buy ready made cookie dough from the refrigerated section in the supermarket. It’s super easy and quick too. Here are a few of our favourites:
Get creative in the kitchen and make pancakes with the kids. There are shortcuts available with pancake shakes on the market, but the best ones are always made from scratch. See our recipe for easy to make pancakes here.
A traditional family favourite all year round, Anzac biscuits are super easy to make. Follow our recipe here.
Loved equally by both adults and children, this recipe for scones made with lemonade (no butter) is super easy to follow and simple enough for the kids to join in and help.
There’s nothing like rolling a freshly cooked donut in cinnamon sugar and heating while it’s still warm. Follow our recipe here
Not to eat, but fun to make in the kitchen….
